Which interfaces should be mapped?
Map generator status, breaker commands, synchronising or load sharing interfaces, alarms, protective trips, emergency stop and external controls only when the approved documents define them.
| Interface | Record | Review source |
|---|---|---|
| Generator | Status and command | Vendor data |
| Breaker | Trip and close path | Approved logic |
| Protection | Trip or lockout signal | Protection basis |
| Load control | Approved control signal | Control philosophy |
| External | BMS or emergency interface | I/O schedule |

What is the drafting boundary?
The drafting boundary is to represent approved logic and interfaces. It does not include selecting settings, validating sequence under live conditions or certifying performance.
- Use supplied device names
- Keep open signals visible
- Reference the source revision
- Show terminal or interface boundaries
- Route technical questions to the engineer
What is required before issue?
The drawing set needs a source register, tag check, revision record and responsible reviewer. The project commissioning and safety teams control any live testing requirements.

Common questions
What else should the bid team know?
Does this service select the critical power topology?
No. The engineer or design team supplies the approved topology. Drafting makes the approved arrangement readable and traceable.
Can a drawing show a rating that is missing from the schedule?
No. Raise the missing or conflicting input as an open item rather than guessing the rating.
Who performs engineering sign-off?
The registered engineer responsible for the job performs engineering sign-off. The drafter checks the drawing against the supplied inputs.
